GROWER'S CHOICE!

Monstera aurea, a variegated version of the split-leaf monstera plant, is a sought-after Monstera variety with stunning yellow-marbled leaves. Also known as the yellow variegated Monstera, Monstera Borsigiana Aurea, Monstera Deliciosa Aurea, and Monstera Aurea Marmorata, this rare plant boasts the same iconic leaf shape and tropical charm as its non-variegated counterparts.

Growing up to 10 to 15 feet tall and 8 feet wide indoors, Monstera aurea requires support or can be cultivated in a hanging basket. Native to Central American rainforests, it thrives in well-draining soil with a pH range of 5 to 7.5 and prefers high humidity levels of 65% or more.

Key care tips include providing bright, indirect light, maintaining temperatures between 65 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit, and avoiding extreme temperature fluctuations. Watering should be done when the top two inches of soil are dry, preventing both overwatering and underwatering. A mix of perlite, sphagnum moss, horticultural charcoal, and orchid bark makes an ideal potting soil.

To boost humidity, use a pebble tray or a humidifier. Monstera aurea's stable variegation ensures it won't revert to a non-variegated form, but proper care, including appropriate lighting and watering, is crucial for maintaining its distinctive yellow-marbled leaves.
